Schedules: choose when blocking applies

A schedule sets when a group, app, or site is locked versus unlocked. Every item uses one of two built-in schedules or a custom one you create.

Built-in schedules

• Locked till you unlock — locked 24/7. You get in by completing your unlock method.
• Unlocked till you lock — no scheduled lock times. It stays open until you lock it yourself — or, if the item has a daily limit, until that limit is reached.

Custom schedules

Create one with New Schedule from the Schedules screen. Each custom schedule has:

• Mode — Lock during locks inside your time windows. Allow only during locks everywhere outside them.
• Days and times — all seven days are listed. Tap Add window to activate a day; remove a day's last window to turn it off.
• Multiple windows per day — add as many as you need, like 9–12 and 1–5.
• Copy Times — copy one day's windows to other days. Copying replaces the destination's times.
• Overnight windows — a window like 10pm–5am spans midnight. It starts on that day and extends into the next.

One schedule can be shared by many items. Apply to All assigns one schedule to every group, app, and site at once.

Edits that loosen restrictions today

If an edit unlocks something for part of today, Descreened asks when to apply it: now, after an unlock challenge, or at midnight. Changes to other days apply right away either way. Under Strict Mode, the midnight option is the only one. A queued edit shows a banner you can cancel.

Deleting a schedule switches everything that used it to Locked till you unlock.

Tip: For overnight phone-free time, use Lock during with a 9pm–7am window. The lock carries into the next morning automatically.
